Herringbone Flooring is a traditional design makes a bold statement to bring any room to life, adding both interest and depth.
Renaissance Parquet Herringbone flooring comprises of wood planks cut into perfect rectangles. It is then angled at 45 degrees so the end of one plank meets the side of another.
– Herringbone timber floor, in contrast to Chevron flooring, is always cut as a 90 degrees square.
– Herringbone’s most common size is 90/105mm long and length of 720/630mm respectively.
The parquetry flooring patterns work on a multiple of length to width ratio. We find that the 6 or 7 times width to length is a perfect proportion. The 90mm will appear more elegant and refined while the 150mm is more contemporary look.
